The Middle East and Levant have an incredibly rich linguistic past. What fascinates us is the amazing linkages between languages, from Arabic and Hebrew to Aramaic and Amharic.

The words for food and water, mom and dad, sun and sky — among thousands of others — have the exact same roots.

We are building a digital interface so users can search among common Semitic roots by inputting the word in Hebrew, Arabic, or transliterated into English. A pronunciation guide will help learners understand the evolution of Semitic sounds through the ages.

With our language-learning videos, we provide viewers with a catchy and quick way to pick up some of the most important cognates >>>
